About Hatano

Hatano is an iOS app that blocks the apps you pick, such as Instagram, TikTok, X or Reddit, until you hit a daily step goal or log a workout. When Apple Health reports that you have reached the goal the shield lifts, either for the rest of the day or for a four-hour window.

You set the step goal starting from 2,000 and working toward 10,000. An SOS rule gives two five-minute passes a day, each earned by completing a short challenge: holding a ring for ten seconds, a math sprint or a pattern recall. Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets show how many steps remain, and a streak counts the days you earned access.

According to the site, step counts are read on the phone through Apple Health with no upload, and there is no account, feed or leaderboard. A pricing section exists on the site, but amounts are not in the extracted homepage text.
