About DX

DX is a commercial platform for engineering leaders who want to measure and improve developer productivity. It pairs periodic developer surveys with data from engineering systems, so organizations can see both how work feels to developers and how delivery performs, backed by research from its founders.

The product areas include a Developer Experience Index with industry benchmarking and workflow analysis, engineering productivity tools such as SDLC analytics, the DX Core 4 framework, team dashboards, custom reporting and sprint analytics, and R&D capitalization reporting. AI measurement features track usage, impact and return on AI code assistants and agents.

DX also offers a systems catalog, scorecards and an internal developer portal for self-service, along with data connectors and an AI assistant. It is a hosted service sold through demos, with research, a podcast, whitepapers and benchmarks published on the vendor's site. Atlassian has said its Compass catalog and scorecards will move into DX.
