About DisplaySpan

DisplaySpan is a small menu bar utility for Macs with more than one monitor. It addresses three everyday annoyances: a cursor that gets stuck at the edge of a screen when displays have different heights, a display arrangement that gets scrambled after reconnecting, and brightness keys that only affect one screen.

For cursor movement it connects screen edges that the pointer cannot otherwise cross while keeping normal macOS crossings intact. You can save a layout and enable automatic restore for a specific display setup. Brightness keys adjust the supported display under the cursor, which requires Accessibility access, and third-party monitors need Apple Silicon and DDC/CI support.

The app needs macOS 14 or later and is offered with a three-day free trial and no credit card. It is a commercial product with licensing handled on its own site, and the interface is available in several languages.
