About Codedex

Codedex is an interactive platform for learning to code, pitched at beginners of all ages. Instead of a traditional course list, it presents programming languages as a fantasy world to explore, with lessons that run in the browser and a sense of adventure built into the progression.

Learners journey through Python, HTML, CSS or JavaScript, earn experience points to unlock new regions and collect badges at their own pace. The game-like structure is meant to keep motivation up for people who find standard tutorials dry.

Codedex is a proprietary hosted service in the education category. A pricing page is linked from the site, but plan details are not confirmed here.
