About Claude Cowork
Claude Cowork is an agent mode in Claude Desktop, from Anthropic, for work that spans files and several steps rather than a single chat reply. A user describes a task, Claude carries it out, and the result comes back as a finished deliverable such as a presentation, a document or a spreadsheet for the user to review.
According to Anthropic, tasks can be started at a desk and checked from a phone, connected to a user's own data, and scheduled to repeat daily, weekly or monthly. Users can ask for the output in the format they need. Anthropic's site groups Cowork with related capabilities such as connectors, plugins and skills that extend what Claude can reach and do.
Cowork is a commercial product delivered through Anthropic's Claude apps, with no self-hosted version. It suits knowledge workers who want delegated, multi-step work on documents and data, and current plan details are on Anthropic's pricing page.
