About Backblaze Computer Backup

Backblaze Computer Backup is a consumer and business backup service that continuously uploads the files on a computer to Backblaze's cloud. It is intended for people who want automatic protection against drive failure, theft and ransomware without managing storage buckets themselves, and it also covers external drives attached to the machine.

The company separates its offering into B2 Cloud Storage, an S3-compatible object storage service used for apps, backup, media and AI workloads, and Computer Backup for endpoints. Within Computer Backup there is a personal plan for unlimited Mac and PC backup and a business plan for enterprise-grade endpoint backup. The site stresses transparent pricing for unlimited data protection.

Backblaze is proprietary and delivered as a hosted service, so there is no self-hosted edition. Plan prices are on the vendor's pricing pages, and the company also publishes hard drive reliability statistics, documentation and a trust center.
