About Jottacloud

Jottacloud is a cloud storage and backup service from Norway that has operated since 2008. Files and photos are uploaded automatically from all of a user's devices and stored in Norway under European privacy laws, with the company stating that its storage runs on renewable energy.

Features listed include automatic backup, recovery of lost files through version history that keeps the last five versions of each file, an archive for files you rarely use, and simple sharing of files and photos. The plans shown on the homepage are a free 5 GB tier, an Unlimited plan, a Home plan with 1 TB for up to five users and a Pro plan with 10 TB licensed for commercial use.

Jottacloud is proprietary and delivered as a hosted service, with business offerings and a pricing page. Its Unlimited plan carries a note that upload speed is gradually reduced after 5 TB, which is worth checking for heavy users.
