About Azure Container Registry
Azure Container Registry is a managed service from Microsoft for keeping container images and related artifacts. Microsoft describes it as a place to hold images for many kinds of container deployments, as well as OCI artifacts.
It belongs to the Azure container portfolio and is intended to sit next to services such as Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Apps and Azure Container Instances, so that build pipelines can push images that those services then pull. Teams use it as a private image source in place of running their own registry servers.
Azure Container Registry is a proprietary, cloud-only Azure service. Pricing follows Azure's general model and is described on Microsoft's Azure pricing pages.
