About AWS AppConfig
AWS AppConfig is a capability of AWS Systems Manager that lets teams deploy application configuration and feature flags without redeploying code. Changes are rolled out gradually and can be validated and rolled back if monitoring detects a problem, which reduces the risk of a bad configuration reaching every user at once.
AppConfig is a proprietary AWS service with no self-hosted edition and is billed according to AWS's usage-based pricing model. It is commonly used by teams that already run on AWS and want to manage settings and feature toggles alongside their other infrastructure, and AWS documents the current features and rates.
