About Apple Mail

Apple Mail is the email client included with Apple's operating systems. It lets users send, receive and manage messages from several accounts in one app, including iCloud, Gmail, Outlook and standard IMAP accounts. Because it ships with the system, there is nothing separate to buy or install.

Recent versions add tools for reducing inbox noise, such as blocking messages from specific senders or groups, and automatic sorting of incoming messages into Primary, Transactions, Updates and Promotions categories. On supported devices and languages, Apple Intelligence Writing Tools can summarize selected text, proofread a draft and suggest wording and tone. Apple publishes a Mail User Guide for each macOS version covering setup and daily use.
