Best Social Media Management Tools for Agencies in 2026: Client Workspaces, Approvals and White-Label Reports

Social media management tools for agencies compared by client workspaces, approvals and white-label reports: TrackMedia, Pallyy, Sendible and more.

By , founder of NQM Studio LTDUpdated 12 min read

Social media management tools for agencies differ mainly in what the client sees and in how the price grows with each new client. TrackMedia, made by the team behind Enlisted, suits agencies that want a workspace per client and proof of which posts earned clicks. Pallyy suits small agencies that get sign-off through shared approval links, and Sendible suits agencies that need white-label reporting.

Enlisted lists many hosted tools built for agencies, so this guide groups them by job: client approvals, white-label reports, analytics, AI-agent workflows and open source. The self-hosted choices are fewer, and features such as white-label reports and client portals mostly come from hosted, closed-source products.

Live data from Enlisted: GitHub stats sync daily; pricing comes from each vendor's pricing page. “Vendor edition” means closed source, with a version the vendor lets you run on your own servers.

How we picked

Each pick either names agencies or client work in its own description or lists an agency use case in Enlisted's data, taken from vendor sites. Tools that serve agencies but do not manage social posts, such as a Google Maps rank tracker, were left out, and the one reporting platform included, AgencyAnalytics, is flagged as a companion rather than a scheduler. Open-source entries need a visible licence and recent GitHub activity, which the cards show. Network lists and plan limits change often, so check them on each vendor's site. See how Enlisted ranks tools for the method, or browse the social media category.

A disclosure: TrackMedia, number one below, is made by the team behind Enlisted, so it leads the social media guides here. Enlisted's About page explains where the team's own products appear. Its entry is written from its own site like every other, including what the site does not mention.

1. TrackMedia: best for a workspace per client and proof of which posts earned clicks

TrackMedia is a hosted publishing and analytics tool that schedules to 20 networks and tracks link clicks per post and per platform. The site says to keep every client in its own workspace, show what each post earned with tracked clicks, and pay per workspace instead of per channel. Each link is shortened and tagged with UTM parameters, so a client report can name the post and the network that sent the visits, next to impressions, saves, shares and followers.

The writer enters one master draft and the tool produces a per-network version, with preflight checks on limits. Threads, carousels, first comments and alt text are supported, and there is a REST API, a TypeScript SDK, a CLI and an MCP server. A free tier needs no card, and the site says no network is held back for higher plans.

  • Best for: agencies and freelancers that run several client accounts across many networks and want to show clients which posts produced clicks.
  • Watch out for: the site does not mention white-label reports or a client-facing approval portal, so an agency that needs clients to sign off in their own view should compare Pallyy or Sked Social. It is closed source and hosted only.

Best for client approvals and sign-off

When the client has to say yes before a post goes live, the question is how much friction the client faces. These three differ on that.

2. Pallyy: best for small agencies that want clients to approve without logging in

Pallyy is a social media scheduler for agencies that holds every client's posts in one account on a shared calendar. Clients review and approve posts through a shared calendar link, with no Pallyy account and no seat, according to its pricing page. It supports networks including Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Threads and Bluesky, and it has an API.

Pricing is per client: each client is one social set, however many networks they post to. There is a free plan with one social set and limits, and the inbox is on paid plans only.

  • Best for: small agencies that want login-free client approvals and a price that follows client count rather than channel count.
  • Watch out for: the page mentions custom reports on higher plans but no white-label branding, so check what a client report looks like. It is closed source and hosted only.

3. Planable: best when clients comment and edit inside the post

Planable is a social media platform designed around review and approval. Content is created in a workspace that looks like the final post, and teammates or clients can comment, suggest edits and approve before it is scheduled. Its solutions are tailored to agencies, multi-location brands and multi-brand companies, and it covers Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, X and Google Business Profile.

The first batch of posts is free with no time limit, so an agency can run one real client through the workflow before paying. Paid plans are priced per workspace.

  • Best for: agencies whose clients like to give feedback on the post itself rather than in email threads.
  • Watch out for: per-workspace pricing means the cost follows the number of clients or brands, and the free allowance is a limited number of posts rather than an ongoing quota.

4. Sked Social: best for agencies and multi-location brands that need review portals

Sked Social is a social media management platform for teams that publish on behalf of other people, such as agencies, franchises and multi-location businesses. It offers login-free approval portals for clients, cross-channel scheduling, a unified inbox for DMs and comments, and analytics with PDF and Excel export. Its media library connects to Canva, Drive, Dropbox and Frontify.

  • Best for: agencies and franchise groups that publish across many locations and want clients to approve in a portal and receive exported reports.
  • Watch out for: there is no free plan, only a free trial, and the vendor lists channels such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, so confirm TikTok, X or other networks before you commit.

Best for white-label reports and many client accounts

White-label means different things on different pricing pages: branded PDF reports, a custom domain or a fully rebranded platform. Read what each plan includes.

5. SocialPilot: best for scaling agencies that want branded reports and bulk scheduling

SocialPilot helps teams and agencies schedule social posts and report on results. Its site describes it as built for scaling marketing agencies and brands, with approvals, bulk scheduling and a white-label offering that includes branded report generation. It also lists team and client management, a content library and an AI content assistant that writes in a brand's tone.

  • Best for: agencies that schedule in bulk for many clients and send branded reports.
  • Watch out for: plans come in tiers from Essentials up, so check which tier includes the white-label and client-management features you need. It is closed source and hosted only, with a free trial rather than a free plan.

6. Sendible: best for client workspaces with permissions and a fully rebranded option

Sendible is a social media management platform designed around agencies. Client brands live in separate workspaces with granular permissions, so clients see only their own accounts and reports. Its client connect feature avoids asking clients for their passwords, and the platform includes approval workflows for client sign-off, a priority inbox, evergreen recycling of top posts, campaign management and scheduled white-label reports.

Beyond reports, Sendible's site says a full white-label option, with a custom domain and rebranded portal, is available on its top plans. Every plan includes unlimited users, and the tiers differ by workspaces and social profiles.

  • Best for: agencies that need per-client permissions, onboarding without shared passwords and the option to present the whole platform under their own brand.
  • Watch out for: full white-labeling sits on the higher tiers, and the tier prices are not listed on the pages Enlisted captured, so ask for the plan that matches your client count. It is hosted and closed source.

7. PostPlanify: best for agencies serving local business clients with unlimited users

PostPlanify is a social media management platform for agencies with local business clients. It has a drag-and-drop calendar, a media library with imports from Canva, Google Drive and Dropbox, and a shared inbox for comments, DMs and reviews where items can be labeled and assigned. Reports carry your logo, accent color and footer. Its approval workflows, post comments with @mentions and role-based permissions come with unlimited users and no per-seat pricing.

It covers ten platforms: Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and Google Business Profile.

  • Best for: small agencies that manage local business accounts, including reviews, and want a bigger team without paying per seat.
  • Watch out for: pricing is per workspace and there is a free trial but no free plan, so check how its tiers map to your number of clients.

8. ContentStudio: best for agencies that also curate content for clients

ContentStudio combines content discovery with publishing. Users find articles and ideas through feeds, plan and schedule posts on a calendar, and use AI to write captions and images. For agencies it lists workspaces, approval workflows, client management, white-label reseller options, social listening, competitor analytics and Google Ads analytics, and an API plan lets teams connect Zapier, n8n or Make.

  • Best for: agencies that supply clients with curated industry content as well as their own posts.
  • Watch out for: there is a free trial but no free plan, and the white-label reseller options are described only briefly in the data Enlisted holds, so ask which plan includes them.

Best for analytics and client reporting

Some agencies already have a scheduler and want better reports. These two put reporting first.

9. Iconosquare: best analytics-first tool for explaining results to clients

Iconosquare is an analytics-first social media platform. Managers who look after several profiles can measure performance, schedule posts, produce reports and listen to conversations from one dashboard. It began as an Instagram analytics service and now covers networks including Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn, and the emphasis on analytics suits agencies that must explain results to clients.

  • Best for: social media managers and agencies whose main job is benchmarking and reporting performance.
  • Watch out for: scheduling is part of the product, but analytics is the lead feature, so an agency that wants client approvals and white-label portals should check those separately. A small free plan exists, and paid plans scale up.

10. AgencyAnalytics: best companion for client reporting across many marketing channels

AgencyAnalytics is a reporting platform built for marketing agencies, not a social scheduler. It collects each client's data from a wide range of marketing platforms into dashboards, automated white-labeled reports and a branded client portal, with the agency's own logo, colors and custom domain. It also offers KPI tracking and a keyword rank tracker.

Pricing is per client, with unlimited staff users, data sources and reports.

  • Best for: agencies that run social alongside SEO, ads and other channels and want one report per client.
  • Watch out for: it does not publish posts, so pair it with a scheduler from this guide. It is closed source and hosted only.

Best when AI agents do the day-to-day work

11. Aidelly: best white-label platform for agencies that run social through AI assistants

Aidelly is a white-label social media platform built so that an AI agent does the day-to-day work for an agency. An assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT connects over MCP or an API, drafts posts, publishes, replies to messages and produces reports across 11 networks, while the agency team approves what the agent does. Each client gets its own workspace with a stored brand voice, and a request such as scheduling next week for every client lands as drafts in an approval inbox.

The platform supports unlimited client accounts and can be white-labeled to the agency's own brand. Its site advertises a free starting plan.

  • Best for: agencies already working through AI assistants that want drafts queued for human approval across many clients.
  • Watch out for: the product assumes you want an agent doing routine work, so an agency that prefers manual scheduling pays for a workflow it will not use. Paid plans are listed on its pricing page.

Best open-source and self-hosted options for agencies

Enlisted lists few open-source social tools built for agencies. Both of these name agency use cases, and both need you to host the software and connect each social network. Mixpost is a third self-hosted option, positioned as a Buffer alternative with a free MIT-licensed Lite edition; its listing describes agencies scheduling content for several brands, but not client approvals or white-label reports.

12. BrightBean Studio: best open-source option with a client role

BrightBean Studio is an open-source, self-hostable social media management platform released under AGPL-3.0, with no per-seat, per-channel or per-workspace limits. A multi-workspace dashboard connects to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, Google Business Profile, Mastodon and DEV.to, with unlimited organizations, workspaces and members, role-based access and a client role for outside collaborators.

Integrations use the official first-party APIs with your own developer credentials, and the app deploys with Docker or one-click cloud deployment.

  • Best for: technical agencies that want client workspaces and roles without per-seat or per-client fees.
  • Watch out for: there is no mention of white-label reports in the data Enlisted holds, you create developer apps on each network yourself, and the hosted plans are paid, so compare the cost of hosting it with the managed route.

13. Shoutrrr: best lightweight self-hosted scheduler with workspaces and roles

Shoutrrr is a self-hostable scheduler, presented as an open-source alternative to Buffer, Typefully and Hootsuite. You draft a post once and send it to X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and Discord, with a posting queue, a month calendar and post analytics. Its workspaces, roles and email invites keep clients and brands separate. The code is Apache-2.0, and a managed Shoutrrr Cloud is also listed.

  • Best for: small agencies that post to a handful of major networks and want self-hosted client workspaces with no per-seat fees.
  • Watch out for: its listed networks do not include TikTok, YouTube or Pinterest, and Enlisted's data does not describe client approvals or white-label reports.

What agencies should check before choosing a tool

Two requirements decide most agency purchases, and both show up on vendor pricing pages.

How the price grows with each client. The pricing unit differs by tool: Pallyy counts each client as one social set, Planable, PostPlanify and TrackMedia charge per workspace, and Sendible's tiers differ by workspaces and social profiles. Sendible and PostPlanify include unlimited users, AgencyAnalytics charges per client, and BrightBean Studio, Shoutrrr and Mixpost have no per-seat fees when self-hosted. Work out your client count in a year and compare the unit that grows fastest. The live table above and the pricing section after this guide show current plan prices.

What the client sees. Check three things on each vendor's page: how clients approve (shared link, portal or in-tool comments), what a report looks like (your logo on a PDF, a custom domain, or a fully rebranded portal), and how clients connect their accounts. Sendible, for example, offers client connect without shared passwords, and says full white-labeling sits on its higher plans. If you only need a client to approve one post before it goes out, PostDecks is a free browser tool that previews a post for X, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook and shares an approval link or PDF.

Which social media tool should your agency choose?

  • You want a workspace per client and click tracking per post: TrackMedia.
  • You want clients to approve from a link with no login: Pallyy or Sked Social.
  • Clients like to comment and edit on the post itself: Planable.
  • You need branded or white-label reports: SocialPilot, Sendible or PostPlanify.
  • You report across social, SEO and ads: AgencyAnalytics next to a scheduler, or Iconosquare for social analytics.
  • You run client social through AI assistants: Aidelly.
  • You want to host it yourself: BrightBean Studio or Shoutrrr.

For a wider view of hosted and open-source schedulers beyond agencies, see the Hootsuite and Buffer alternatives guide. Agencies that also run client work and billing may want the client management software guide, and small mission-driven clients are covered in the guide to social media management tools for nonprofits.
