About WeddingShare

WeddingShare is a self-hosted place for guests to view and drop pictures of a wedding. Guests add photos to a shared gallery, and the hosts keep the images on their own server. It is written in C# and aimed at couples or event hosts who want a private alternative to sharing photo albums through a third-party service.

The README and project site state that WeddingShare is rebranding to Memtly because many people were using it for events beyond weddings, such as concerts and group trips. The code, community, issues, documentation and sponsor links have moved to the Memtly organization, and a migration guide is available. Memtly is not directly upgradable from WeddingShare because the front end and back end were redesigned, so existing users need to follow the documented upgrade path.

This repository is licensed under GPL-3.0. New users should look at the Memtly project for current development, while this entry remains for people running the original version.
