About Vegan Oasis
Vegan Oasis checks products for animal ingredients. You photograph a label or scan a barcode and get a result of vegan, maybe or not vegan within seconds, with an explanation of why each flagged ingredient matters, including hidden animal ingredients and additives. It also covers cosmetics and pharmacy products and shows the CO2 impact of what you scan.
Nutrition features show macronutrient charts and an amino acid quality score, plus marks such as high protein, non-GMO and added sugar, with vitamins, minerals and fats added in later versions. Discovery tools include an Oasis Map for finding vegan shops, restaurants and people nearby, plus community-shared dishes, interest groups, how-to guides and recipes. Tapping an E-number or additive brings up a short, simple explanation, and certification marks such as V-Label and the Vegan Society are explained.
The app supports 11 languages and is free to download with in-app purchases. The free tier allows 6 label scans per month, while Pro lifts the scan limit and adds cosmetics and pharmacy checks, complete nutrition detail, premium explore and priority support.
