About Totsy
Totsy is a family food scanner for iPhone. You scan a product barcode and the app turns its ingredient list into a Totsy score so products can be compared at a glance, with context about nutrition, allergens and safety. Interpretation is personal: you add your children, and Totsy Alerts flag allergies, sensitivities and preferences for each of them rather than using a generic checklist.
The app says it is independent and transparent, does not sell food or promote brands, and relies on public product data instead of marketing claims. It is aimed at parents who want clarity when dense packaging, small ingredient text and marketing claims on the front of the box make shopping harder, especially where allergies are involved.
The app is free to download with in-app purchases, but full access requires a subscription billed monthly or annually and renewed automatically through the Apple ID account. Plans can be managed or canceled in the Apple ID account settings, and a plan renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
