About updown.io

updown.io is a commercial website monitoring service that emphasizes simplicity and low cost. It performs checks over HTTP(S), TCP(S) and ICMP, so it can watch more than web pages, with check frequency adjustable from 15 seconds to an hour and pricing that scales linearly with the frequency.

Extra checks include pulse or cron monitoring for periodic jobs, TLS and SSL certificate testing, domain expiration alerts via RDAP or WHOIS, and text search that matches a string instead of just the HTTP status. Downtime is confirmed from at least two locations, and monitoring works over both IPv4 and IPv6 at the same price.

Alerts can go to email, webhooks, Slack, Teams, Telegram, SMS, Statuspage and Zapier. Hosted status pages provide single-site and multi-site availability and performance reports, and a REST API and webhooks allow integration. Payment is accepted by cards, PayPal, SEPA and several cryptocurrencies.
