About Typora
Typora is a proprietary Markdown editor and reader built around live preview. It removes the separate preview window, the mode switcher and the visible Markdown symbols, so the text looks formatted as it is written and the writer can concentrate on the content.
It handles pictures, headings, lists, tables, fenced code, math, diagrams and inline styling. Images can be uploaded to a cloud server on macOS through the iPic service, resized, referenced with relative paths for static blogs and inserted by drag and drop. Customization options include user CSS themes, a table of contents inserted with a [TOC] tag, internal links to headings, nested list indentation and GFM task lists.
Typora runs as a desktop application rather than a hosted service, and the vendor site offers downloads, themes and a purchase page. It suits writers, developers and bloggers who like Markdown but dislike a split editing pane.
