About SplitPro
SplitPro is a self-hosted web app for sharing expenses with friends, partners and groups. It is designed as an open-source replacement for Splitwise, helping people keep track of who paid for what and how much each person owes.
You can add expenses with a friend or a group and split them equally, by percentage, by share, with exact amounts or with adjustments, and record settlements. Expenses support categories, currencies, dates and locally stored receipt attachments, and negative expenses handle refunds. There are balances per person and per group with optional debt simplification, an activity feed that records edits and deletions, and a partial import from Splitwise for friends and groups.
SplitPro is a progressive web app with push notification support, though delivery needs extra configuration. It is built with TypeScript, tRPC and Tailwind CSS and licensed under MIT, and it is deployed using the provided Docker Compose files and an environment file for authentication, database and upload settings. It suits households, travel groups and friends who prefer to own their expense data.
