About Sonars
Sonars is an agentic coding environment where several AI agents work on different features at the same time. Each agent runs in its own git worktree, an isolated working directory, so experiments cannot touch the main branch until the developer reviews the changes in a built-in diff viewer and merges them. It is built on Claude Code, and the user brings their own API key with no markup from Sonars.
The app is a native Rust application rather than an Electron one, and it works alongside editors such as VS Code and Zed. Core features include parallel workspaces, a full terminal with AI awareness, a visual diff viewer, extended thinking for harder problems, conversation sharing and activity insights. Features labeled Pro include a workspace switcher, a grid view of all workspaces and AI triggers for automating workflows. The site targets founders, solo developers, startups and teams doing MVPs, refactors and bug fixing.
