Rewired: features, pricing and alternatives

About Rewired

Rewired is an app blocker for iPhone that turns unlocking distracting apps into a game. A feature called the Shield locks the apps you choose, and before you can scroll you face a quick challenge. Win and you earn screen time; lose and that time is gone. The pitch is that every session begins with a challenge, which makes screen time something earned.

Challenges come in three kinds: arcade minigames of quick reflexes, skill challenges built around aim, timing and precision with no luck involved, and games of chance where you risk a little screen time to win more. A High Stakes Mode lets you put your whole balance on the line. The app is a free download on the App Store, and the site has support, privacy policy and terms pages.
