About Rev

Rev started as a transcription, captioning and AI notetaking service, and its homepage now presents it as an investigative intelligence and legal transcription platform. The aim is to turn digital evidence such as recordings, documents and images into verified, citable findings for managing a case.

Platform tools include multi-file evidence analysis with citations, a document editor in beta that exports to Word or PDF, image analysis to find people or details across case photos, a transcript editor with clipping, AI templates for chronologies and affidavits, and a mobile app for recording interviews in the field. Human-verified services cover transcription, English and Spanish captions, legal transcripts, court reporting and global subtitles, and SmartDepo is now part of Rev.

Rev also provides a speech-to-text API and documentation through rev.ai. It serves criminal prosecution and defense, law enforcement, civil law and court reporting agencies, and publishes a pricing page for its plans.
