About Plant Identifier

Pid identifies plants, flowers and herbs when you take or upload a photo, drawing on a database it describes as covering thousands of species. Each plant has a profile with scientific and common names, a description, growing requirements, care tips and seasonal considerations, and care instructions cover light, watering schedules, soil preferences, temperature ranges and life cycle information.

Identified plants are saved automatically in a history that works as a personal botanical journal. An update added a damages section that explains symptoms, treatments and prevention. The app targets garden enthusiasts, houseplant collectors, nature lovers and landscaping professionals.

The App Store listing says the developer does not collect any data from the app. It is free to download with in-app purchases, runs on iPhone and iPad and is available in several languages. The app is categorized as a reference tool and is small to download.
