About Pictograph

Pictograph covers the computer vision workflow end to end for developers and teams. Auto-annotation uses SAM3 to convert a click, a drawn box or a text prompt into pixel-level labels, on one image or in batch across thousands. Training runs YOLOX, RF-DETR or Segformer, plus classification, on managed GPUs: you freeze a dataset into an export in a format such as COCO, pick an architecture and GPU, and get model weights back.

Trained models can be put behind one authenticated predict endpoint as deployments, and visual workflows run pipelines over images and video on a schedule. A Python SDK exposes datasets, exports, training and auto-annotation, and public datasets and models, such as COCO and ADE-20K subsets, can be forked.

A free tier includes $5 per month of compute and needs no payment method, and a documentation site and pricing page are available.

Pictograph: questions and answers

What is Pictograph used for?
Pictograph is a computer vision platform for annotating images with SAM3, training detection and segmentation models on managed GPUs, and deploying inference APIs. It is a good fit for labeling a dataset from text prompts, training a segmentation model without GPU setup and deploying a detector behind an API.
Is Pictograph free?
Yes. Pictograph has a free plan, and paid plans start at $29 per month.
Is Pictograph open source?
No. Pictograph is proprietary (closed-source) software and can't be self-hosted. In the AI Infrastructure category, open-source options include Label Studio, CVAT and MLflow.
What are some alternatives to Pictograph?
Pictograph competes with Roboflow, Labelbox and Encord.
