About Superduper
Superduper is an end-to-end framework for building custom AI applications and agents that are integrated with a database rather than bolted on separately. It targets Python developers and ML teams who want to combine model inference, vector search and agent logic with the data already stored in their database backend.
The project supports MongoDB as a data backend, along with tools from the PyTorch and Transformers ecosystem, and covers use cases such as semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation, chatbots and distributed model inference and serving, which it groups under the term LLMOps. Installation starts with a base Python package plus a plugin for the chosen database backend, with further optional plugins for specific use cases.
Superduper is written in Python, requires Python 3.10 or newer, and is released under the Apache-2.0 license as a community-driven open-source project. Support channels include Slack, GitHub Discussions, YouTube and email, and the project is actively looking for contributors and hires.
