About PicsOn

PicsOn lets event hosts collect photos from guests without an app. Guests scan a QR code, enter their name once and take photos in the browser, which compresses them on the device and uploads them in seconds. Photos appear on a live wall on a big screen about every 10 seconds, each with the name of who took it, and the host can review and approve photos in a moderation dashboard before they show.

Uploads are 2K at the higher tiers and 4K at the top tiers, and the site says this avoids the quality loss from messaging apps. Hosts keep the event private without public hashtags. Use cases include weddings, corporate events and birthday parties, and photos can be downloaded as a ZIP.

Pricing is per event with no subscription: a free tier covers one small event with 300 MB and 720p, and paid tiers range from $9 to $149 per event with more storage, higher quality, live slideshows and backup. A 2 GB mini pack costs $5.
