About PhotoWash

PhotoWash scans your photo album to identify NSFW images, which it lists as nudity, medical imagery and other adult material. Scans can be run on demand or in the background while the phone is asleep or charging, and the AI runs entirely on the device, with nothing uploaded. With one tap you can hide, blur or delete what it finds, or store those images in a separate folder instead of leaving them mixed in with everyday pictures.

The pitch is avoiding awkward moments when sharing photos, casting to a TV or scrolling through your phone in front of other people. The listing positions it as a way to keep private photos private, and a developer reply in the reviews says a free trial option is planned.

The app is free to download with in-app purchases and uses a freemium model, with subscription details shown in the App Store listing and before purchase. It is rated 13+ and available on iPhone only, and scanning can be started manually or left to run on its own.
