About OwnYourPics
OwnYourPics copies the pictures and clips in your Apple Photos library to a destination you control, so you can reclaim iCloud space without losing anything. It indexes your library on the device and keeps full-resolution originals along with their metadata. Backups can run automatically in the background or selectively, and you can restore items back into your library whenever you need them.
Supported destinations are Local Files or USB, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Amazon S3, SFTP and your own server. Transfers go straight from the device to the destination and never pass through the developer's servers, which only handle sign-in and billing, so the photo data itself is never handled by the vendor.
Local backup is free. A Pro upgrade unlocks the cloud destinations and background backup, and is offered at $0.99 per month, $9.99 per year or $29.99 as a one-time lifetime purchase. The app requires iOS 16.4 or later and runs on iPhone and iPad.
