About Origano

Origano is a recipe organizer and meal planner whose site is written in French, with an English version available. You keep recipes in custom recipe books, add them by hand, or import them by pasting a recipe URL or photographing a cookbook page, after which the app extracts the title, ingredients and steps.

The planning side generates a full weekly menu in one click by choosing recipes from the books you select. You can regenerate a single meal, lock your favorites, and then produce the grocery list from the menu in another click. Recipe books and menus can be shared with a partner, family or roommates, and a hands-free mode reads the recipe aloud step by step while keeping the screen on. The app was designed and built in Quebec, Canada, and a free plan is available without a credit card.
