About Next.js WooCommerce

This project is a headless e-commerce site that pairs a Next.js and React front end with WordPress and WooCommerce as the back end. Product data is fetched over the WooCommerce GraphQL API, and Algolia powers search, with the author's own wp-algolia-woo-indexer plugin sending WooCommerce products to Algolia.

Setup requires several WordPress plugins: WooCommerce, WPGraphQL, WPGraphQL for WooCommerce and the Algolia indexer, with an optional headless-WordPress plugin that disables the WordPress front end. The README lists tested versions of each, and the front end uses Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Zustand for the cart and Playwright for tests. Features include listing products with names, prices and images, simple and variable products, cart handling and checkout through WooCommerce, with cash on delivery used in the walkthrough. Environment variables are set in a .env file or on a host such as Vercel.

The project is licensed under AGPL-3.0 and includes a live demo, a design system section, Lighthouse monitoring notes and a troubleshooting list.
