About Menu Vista
Menu Vista is built for travelers reading menus in a language they do not know. You snap a photo of a restaurant menu and every dish is translated with real food context, rather than word by word, so culinary terms and regional habits are explained, such as a word that means bread in French or an entree that is an appetizer in Paris.
Each dish is checked for allergens, with flags for things like nut allergies and lactose intolerance, and a nutrition feature shows calories, protein, carbs, fat and fiber for every item before you order. The whole menu can be filtered and sorted by any of those metrics, which lets calorie-minded diners plan before the food arrives. It supports more than 30 languages and cuisines including Japanese, Thai, French and Italian. It is a hosted consumer app.
