About Markdown Site

Markdown Site is an open-source publishing framework for developers and AI agents who want to ship websites, documentation or blogs from plain markdown files. Content is written locally and synced from the terminal, and it becomes available right away to browsers as well as to LLMs and agents.

The stack is React, Vite and Convex, with Convex handling real-time data sync so connected browsers update without a rebuild or redeploy. Separate sync commands push posts, wiki pages and generated discovery files such as AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md and llms.txt to development or production, and an export command pulls dashboard-authored posts and pages back into the content folders. The project says it is optimized for AEO, GEO and LLM discovery.

Markdown files live in content/blog and content/pages as regular files in your git repository, so versioning follows normal git workflows. The project is released under the MIT license and is built on Convex and Netlify. Wiki content can be synced into a specific knowledge base.
