About Indigo

Indigo is smart home software that runs on a Mac and acts as the central server for a home automation setup. It supports many Z-Wave and Insteon devices out of the box and lets owners mix protocols freely instead of being locked into one.

Beyond the built-in protocols, a plugin store provides integrations for security systems, weather data, home theater components and other devices and services. Built-in options include iCal integration, relay cards, timers and notifications. The interface exposes complex conditions and advanced scheduling for building automations.

Indigo is sold as a licensed commercial product, with a free trial, a purchase page for new licenses and an upgrade path from older versions. Because it runs on the owner's own Mac, it is self-hosted by nature.
