About Apple Home

Apple Home is Apple's app for managing smart home accessories such as lights, locks, cameras, sensors and thermostats. It works across Apple devices and groups accessories by category and room, so users can check status and control devices from a single place. It supports HomeKit and Matter accessories.

The Home tab puts categories like Lights, Security and Climate up front, shows up to four camera feeds at once, and collects favorite accessories and rooms. A Lock Screen widget on iPhone and a Control Center shortcut give quick access. Guest access can grant limited permissions for door locks, garage doors and alarm systems. A HomePod, HomePod mini or Apple TV acts as the home hub, and adding an accessory involves scanning it to pair.
