About Goodreads

Goodreads is a social site for readers, owned by Amazon. Members keep shelves of the books they want to read, are reading or have finished, rate and review titles, and see what their friends are reading.

The site generates recommendations from the titles and genres a member has enjoyed, and lets visitors browse books by genre, including fiction, nonfiction, fantasy, mystery, romance and many more. It also hosts quotes and discussion. Sign-up uses an Amazon or Apple account, or email. It is a hosted consumer service with no self-hosted version.
