About Fishy

Fishy identifies fish from a photo taken in the app or uploaded from your gallery. The AI examines body shape, fins, coloring and other traits to suggest a species, then shows the scientific and common name, where it lives and its range, usual size, diet and behavior, the species it could be confused with, and conservation status and fishing regulations where available.

Each identification can be saved to a personal library with the date and location, so you can browse a gallery of catches and sightings. Saved entries work offline, and the species database covers marine and freshwater fish.

Fishy is free to download with in-app purchases. A subscription with a 3-day free trial gives unlimited identifications, full species database access, unlimited saves and priority support. The app states it is for educational and recreational use and users should follow local fishing laws.
