About CodeSandbox
CodeSandbox is a commercial cloud development platform that lets developers code, collaborate and ship from a browser on any device. It is also now part of Together AI, which the company announced alongside the launch of its CodeSandbox SDK.
The SDK lets applications start isolated sandboxes programmatically, which suits AI agents and code playgrounds that need to run untrusted or generated code safely. Each environment runs in isolation on microVM infrastructure, can be cloned or restored from snapshots, and resumes where work left off after inactivity. Related tools include Sandpack for live coding in the browser, a Storybook integration, templates for starting projects and a community for sharing work.
CodeSandbox is a hosted proprietary service. The site offers a free way to start and a pricing page covering the available plans.
