About ClipForge

ClipForge, formerly named Daihuo Jianshou, is an open-source generator for short product-promotion videos. A seller uploads a product image and the tool extracts selling points, writes a promotional script, keeps the product's original appearance intact and adds voiceover, subtitles and background music to produce a video for platforms such as Douyin, Kuaishou, Xiaohongshu, WeChat Channels and TikTok Shop.

It offers two paths: a free route using stock material, voiceover and local composition, and AI-generated video where prices are confirmed before generation. A beginner mode hands everything off automatically while a director mode exposes storyboards, models, cost, versions and repairs. Further features include 391 templates, batch production, A/B variants, cross-shot consistency for characters and products, regenerating only a faulty segment, and text-based editing of imported footage.

Compliance helpers such as AIGC labeling and banned-advertising-word scanning are on by default, and the same capabilities are available through a web app, MCP, CLI and agent skills. ClipForge is built with Next.js and FFmpeg, licensed under AGPL-3.0, and is meant to be deployed locally; the README is in Chinese with an English tutorial.
