About Chronoid

Chronoid is a macOS time tracker aimed at freelancers and consultants who bill by the hour. It records which apps, websites and documents you use, assigns the activity to client projects automatically and detects idle time, so you do not have to start and stop timers.

Beyond tracking, it can block distracting websites and produce invoices from the logged hours using an hourly rate you set once. You can also ask questions about your time data in plain language, using local AI such as Ollama, LM Studio or Apple Intelligence, with cloud models optional. A local MCP server lets tools like Claude Code, Claude Desktop or Cursor query the same data.

The app requires macOS 14 or later and does not need an account, and the vendor states the data stays on your Mac. It is a commercial product with a free trial and paid pricing listed on its website; it can also be installed through Homebrew.
