About ChessCopilot

ChessCopilot is an iPhone chess scanner. A user photographs a real board, captures a screenshot from another app or video, or photographs a handwritten or printed score sheet, and the app recognizes the pieces or moves and runs Stockfish to find the best move and the top lines.

For score sheets it reads the moves, checks them for legality and lets the user review the whole game move by move, with accuracy, blunders, mistakes and key moments. Scanned positions can be continued against the engine's suggestions, games can be saved and exported as PGN, and positions can be opened in other analysis sites. The developer says there are no ads and no account, and that games stay on the device.
