About GetTestedNow

Carely, which appears on its site under the name GetTestedNow, is a web service for sending an anonymous health notification by SMS. A user picks a condition, such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, herpes or Mycoplasma genitalium, enters one or more phone numbers, and the service delivers a short, neutral message recommending that the recipient get tested.

The message links to an information page about the chosen condition and contains no accusations or personal details. The site states that it does not store the sender's identity, that recipients cannot see who sent the message, and that every message explains how to opt out of future messages. To limit misuse it relies on payment verification before sending, rate limiting and blocking of numbers that have opted out.

The site is presented in Danish and supports several country calling codes, including Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany and the UK. It is a hosted pay-per-message service, with prices shown on the page.
