About Amazon Neptune
Amazon Neptune is a managed graph database service from AWS. It is built to store highly connected data and to query the relationships between records, which suits use cases such as identity graphs, knowledge graphs and fraud detection.
Neptune supports both the property graph and RDF models, and it works with graph query languages such as Gremlin, openCypher and SPARQL. AWS operates the database infrastructure, handling provisioning, backups and patching, so teams can focus on modeling and querying their data.
Neptune is a proprietary AWS service and cannot be self-hosted. Costs follow AWS usage-based pricing, which is described on the service's pricing page.
