About ActionView

ActionView is an issue-tracking and project-management tool aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises that find commercial tools like Jira too expensive or too heavyweight to maintain over a project's lifetime. It positions itself explicitly as a free, open-source alternative with a modern single-page-application experience.

It supports agile Scrum and Kanban board views as well as a Gantt chart view, lets each project use either a global workflow or its own custom workflow with precisely controlled steps, offers configurable issue screens, a powerful filtering system with saveable custom filters, and a complete access-control model with user group authorization. Additional functionality includes custom notification schemes, per-issue activity history, worklogs and comments, team document sharing, a Markdown-based wiki, and statistical reporting across several dimensions.

The backend is built with the Laravel PHP framework and the frontend is a separate React and Redux application (actionview-fe). It supports installation on Ubuntu or CentOS with Apache or Nginx, as well as Docker. ActionView is released under the Apache-2.0 license, with a live demo available for evaluation.
