About TV Controller
TV Controller, listed on the App Store as Universal TV Remote Control, connects an iPhone or iPad to a TV on the same WiFi network and detects it automatically. Supported devices include Roku, Samsung Tizen TVs, LG webOS TVs, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Google TV models and Chromecast. No extra hardware or setup is needed.
Controls include a touchpad for navigating menus, with an on-screen pointer on Samsung and LG, a built-in keyboard for searches and passwords, quick launch for up to 8 favorite apps, power on through Wake-on-LAN and power off, and the full set of remote buttons such as volume, channels, D-pad, playback and number pad. Media Cast sends photos and videos from the phone to the TV with a slideshow mode, and six themes personalize the remote.
The app is free to download and try with in-app purchases, and premium features unlock through weekly, monthly or annual subscriptions. The developer notes it is not affiliated with the TV brands it supports.
