About TinyPNG

TinyPNG is an image compression service from Tinify that shrinks PNG, JPEG, WebP and AVIF files using lossy compression. The free web tool compresses and converts images in the browser, helping site owners reduce page weight and speed up loading.

Beyond the web tool, the service includes a Developer API for automating compression, resizing and format conversion, an image CDN for delivery, and a website image analyzer that scans a site for potential savings. Official plugins cover WordPress, which compresses images automatically on upload, and Figma, which compresses exports from designs.

TinyPNG is a hosted commercial service with free online use and paid API and CDN plans listed on its pricing pages. It is not self-hosted.
