About ThreadRecap
ThreadRecap is a web service, with an Android app, that processes WhatsApp chat exports. You upload the export and it produces a readable timeline in which every message is dated and voice messages are transcribed into text, plus a structured recap and a follow-up chat for asking questions about the conversation. The site frames this around disputes, such as assembling a record of statements, promises and payments before talking to a solicitor.
The page lists privacy handling: the export is opened locally in your browser, while card and ID numbers are masked before the AI sees anything, and you can delete everything at any time. Before paying, the upload screen measures the conversation, showing the number of messages and minutes of audio, and displays its exact price. Paying covers the full conversation, with each voice note converted to text, plus the recap and the follow-up chat.
