About Snipsco

Snipsco is a canvas editor for creating code images. You add a code block, choose a language and paste, and syntax highlighting applies with any of nine themes. You then style a gradient canvas with shapes, arrows and text labels that can be dragged, resized and rotated, and export the result as PNG or to the clipboard at 1x, 2x, 3x or 4x scale. No sign-up is needed for the canvas.

Free accounts unlock a Gists collection, a cloud-backed library of snippets that can be filtered by language, sorted by date, annotated and opened on the canvas with one click. IDE extensions send selected code from an editor to your Gists: they are available for VS Code and VS Code-based editors such as Cursor and Windsurf, with VSCodium forks served through Open VSX, while JetBrains support is in progress and Zed is on the roadmap. The site also has canvas tools and a blog.
