About Read Your Scan

Read Your Scan is a hosted tool that explains medical imaging in plain words. You upload a scan as a DICOM folder, NIfTI file, JPG or PNG image, or a photo of an X-ray, and optionally the radiologist's report as a PDF or pasted text. Each report sentence becomes a finding rewritten in plain language, scored from normal to significant and pinned to the matching spot on your images.

An AI second opinion reads every image series without seeing the report, and when both are added it shows where the two readings agree and where only one raised a point to discuss at an appointment. Patient name, ID and dates are removed in the browser before upload, data is encrypted and stored in the EU, and users control deletion. The site states that results are not a diagnosis.
