Qwant

Qwant is a French web search engine positioned around privacy. Its homepage states that the service does not sell users' personal data, does not retain their search data and is hosted in Europe, presenting itself as a search engine that values people as users rather than as a product.

The service page lists the Qwant search engine and Qwant Junior, a version aimed at children, along with apps, a help center and pages on privacy, terms of service, legal notices, ranking and cookie management. A Better Web section and a Join Us page round out the site.

Qwant is operated as a hosted consumer service accessed through a browser or its apps, and it is a good fit for people who want a search alternative from a European company with clearly stated data practices. No paid plan is described on the homepage.
