About Phonecall App
Phonecall is a browser-based calling service. You sign in with Google or email, top up a small balance, open the site, type a number and call, while the other end receives a normal phone call. There is no SIM, contract or app to install, and it works in Chrome, Safari and Firefox and can be installed as a PWA. New users get their first 30 seconds free.
Billing is by the second at rates shown before each call, from $0.02 per minute with examples such as $0.03 per minute to the United States. Credit is bought in top-ups of $5, $10 or $25, there is no subscription and the balance never expires. Calls use HD voice with the Opus codec when both ends support it, are encrypted in transit and run on Twilio.
Other features include a searchable call history with CSV export and shared team credit with per-seat reporting and a single month-end invoice. It targets travelers and remote workers who need to call hotels, clinics and relatives abroad.
