About LensCal

LensCal is a food scanner and calorie tracker. You point the camera at a meal and the AI identifies the food and estimates calories, protein and carbs, so you do not search a food database or type ingredients. It is built for homemade dishes, restaurant plates and street food without a barcode, and it positions itself as a faster alternative to manual logging.

You set a calorie or macro target once and each scan is tracked against it, with a view of how much protein you have left. Besides a camera scan, meals can be logged from a gallery photo, a text description, manual entry or a one-tap re-log from history.

The app is available on the App Store and Google Play and is described as free to download. The site includes feature pages, a how-it-works section, user stories, a blog, support and a FAQ that addresses accuracy and notes that no method is perfect.
