About Kiwi IRC
Kiwi IRC is a versatile web messenger built on the IRC protocol and delivered as 100 percent static files, so it can be hosted on any web server or CDN. It can serve a single network, a bouncer host, or act as a personal IRC client that remembers your networks. It works out of the box with a default network or with your own, and is aimed at community operators, organizations and individuals who want a browser-based IRC front end.
The client supports one or many network connections, several layouts for small areas or full pages, light and dark modes, and desktop notifications. Behavior is controlled by a single JSON config file at runtime, and it is themable with a rich plugin system covering things like file uploading and video calling. A team mode suits workplaces. Connection options include direct to a websocket IRC server, through the webircgateway websocket proxy for normal IRC servers, or staying connected with KiwiBNC.
You can embed a client hosted by kiwiirc.com using its client builder, download ready-made installers, or build from source with Node.js and yarn. It is built with Vue.js, webpack and Babel and is licensed under Apache-2.0.
